Short-Term Accommodation (STA)
Safe, supportive short stays that give you and your carers peace of mind.
At Empress Support Services, our Short-Term Accommodation (STA) provides flexible, temporary housing solutions for NDIS participants. Whether you need a break, emergency respite, or a supported step between housing options, our STA is designed to keep you safe, comfortable, and connected.
We know that a short stay can make a big difference for participants; it’s an opportunity to rest, learn, and grow; for families and carers, it offers the reassurance of trusted support.

Who is STA for?
You may benefit from STA if you:
- Need a temporary place to stay (up to 28 days at a time).
- Require respite while your family or informal carers take a break.
- Are in transition, moving between homes, leaving the hospital, or awaiting permanent accommodation.
- Have complex or forensic disability support needs and require a safe, structured short stay.
- Are experiencing a temporary crisis (e.g., sudden carer unavailability).
What’s included?
Our STA services provide:
- Furnished, accessible accommodation designed for safety and comfort.
- Daily living support: meals, personal care, routines, and transport.
- Engaging activities: social outings, community access, and skill-building programs.
- Carer and family relief so loved ones can recharge.
