Child, Youth and Family

Our Child, Youth and Family program is designed to support young people who live with disability, trauma, or who have been placed in out-of-home care under the care of the Secretary because they require protection.

This program is fully funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).

At Empress, we adopt a “no child left behind” approach, ensuring every young person has access to:

  • Education and vocational opportunities
  • Maintaining ties to land, culture, and family connections (where applicable)
  • Capacity building to learn self-regulation and coping strategies
  • Building useful skills required for day-to-day living

We strive to make a difference by applying the Positive Behaviour Support framework, helping young people make good choices and live fulfilling lives.
